Analog Devices Inc. ADuM7702 16-bit Sigma-Delta Modulators
Analog Devices Inc. ADuM7702 16-bit Sigma-Delta Modulators utilize iCoupler® technology to convert analog input signals to high-speed single-bit data streams with on-chip digital isolation. These modulators accept a pseudo-differential input signal of ±50mV (±64mV full-scale) and operate from a 4.5V to 5.5V power supply range (VDD1). This pseudo-differential input is ideally suited to shunt voltage monitoring in high-voltage applications where galvanic isolation is required. The analog input of the ADuM7702 modulators is continuously sampled by a high-performance analog modulator. This input signal is then converted into a digital density output stream with a data rate of up to 21MHz.
The Analog Devices Inc. ADuM7702 Modulators can reconstruct the original information with an appropriate sinc3 digital filter to achieve an 82dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). These modulators are available in both 16-lead SOIC_W and 8-lead SOIC_IC packages and operate within -40°C to 125°C temperature range. Typical applications include shunt current monitoring, AC motor controls, power, and solar inverters, and wind turbine inverters.
