
Broadcom AEAT-8811 Programmable Angular Magnetic Encoders
Broadcom AEAT-8811 Programmable Angular Magnetic Encoders are available in 10, 12, 14, or 16 bits of absolute resolution with no offset calibration. These magnetic encoder ICs provide accurate angular measurement over a full 360 degrees of rotation. The AEAT-8811 Encoders utilize integrated hall sensor elements with complex analog and digital signal processing within a single device. The simple two-pole magnet generates the necessary magnetic field by rotating it in perpendicular, placed in alignment to the center of the device. These encoders are user-programmable with zero position, direction, and index width and can select zero latency mode option.The AEAT-8811 Magnetic Encoders are versatile solutions capable of supporting a broad range of applications with its robust architecture. This measures and delivers both absolute and incremental signals. These encoders operate from -40°C to +125°C temperature range and are available in compact QFN-24 (5mm x 5mm) package. Typical applications include brushless DC motor and stepper motor, resolver and potentiometer replacement, industrial automation and robotics, and industrial sewing machine and textile equipment.
