Kingston eMMC™ Embedded Flash
Kingston Technology eMMC™ Embedded Flash is an embedded, non-volatile memory system consisting of both Flash memory and a Flash memory controller. The eMMC simplifies the application interface design and frees the host processor from low-level Flash memory management. The devices are ideal for many industrial and embedded applications, including consumer electronics.
The eMMC Embedded Flash offers developers a quick interface design and qualification process, reducing time to market and supporting future Flash device offerings.
The I-Temp eMMC Flash memory provides JEDEC eMMC5.1 features and is backward compatible with earlier eMMC standards. It has all the benefits of standard eMMC, plus the device's operating temperature range meets industrial operating temperature requirements of -40°C to 85°C, making it an excellent storage solution for outdoor surveillance, factory automation, transportation, and other applications in fluid environmental conditions.
Small BGA package sizes and low power consumption make the eMMC a viable, low-cost memory solution for mobile and embedded products. The devices are housed in a tiny eMMC package with a standard JEDEC footprint to meet the requirements of many space-constrained wearable and IoT applications. The technical specifications of eMMC are managed by JEDEC, the global leader in generating open standards for the microelectronics industry.
